Thomas L. Kuczynski

As WSSC Water’s CIO, Tom oversees the Information Technology (IT) department, a team of staff, consultants and implementation support specialists charged with transforming the delivery and management of IT capabilities. He has extensive IT and cyber resilience leadership experience in the utility industry, including water, electric and natural gas.

Among his former IT leadership roles, Tom was Senior Vice President for Strategic and Information Services with Philadelphia Gas Works and the Director of Technology Strategy and Architecture for PG&E National Energy Group. Most recently, he was DC Water’s Vice President of Information Technology and Blue Drop, LLC President. He is active in the CIO Water/Wastewater Forum and the White House Task Force on Cyber Security for Water.  

Tom graduated from La Salle College and earned his Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland University College. His free-time interests include traveling, playing golf and pickleball, attending concerts and watching sci-fi movies.
