Our commissioners oversee WSSC Water's obligation to provide safe, clean drinking water to the community while returning clean water to the environment.
WSSC Water Commissioners
Commissioners are appointed to four-year terms by the County Executive of their respective county, Montgomery or Prince George's, and are subject to confirmation by their County Council. Audit Committee
Effective September 25, 2023, the Audit Committee is comprised of one Commissioner from Montgomery and Prince George’s County, one public member from Montgomery and Prince George’s County, and the Commission Chair as an ex-officio, non-voting member. The Committee is responsible for monitoring WSSC Water's audit processes; financial reporting processes; internal controls, and compliance with laws and regulations.
