Thank you for your interest in the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission Police Department.  We are comprised of a group of experienced law enforcement practitioners, who pride themselves on providing policing that is service oriented, courteous, ethical and respectful of others.  We are a small agency charged with a critical mission, protection of the most precious resource known to man, water.  We accomplish this by employing innovative technology, state of the art training and strategically deploying our resources by boat, ATV, vehicle, and foot. Our jurisdiction encompasses 1000 square miles in Prince George’s and Montgomery County, two of Maryland’s largest suburban counties that border our Nation’s Capital. We are a full-service police department that demonstrates the principles of community policing through our daily interaction with our stakeholders.  We successfully meet our mission by working in concert with the community and our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.  If you enjoy working outdoors and engaging the community you might want to consider a career with the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission Police Department.

As the Chief of Police, I am humbled and honored to lead the dedicated men and women of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission Police Department.  We serve with distinction as one of only a few police agencies in the United States providing law enforcement to a public utility.  The WSSC Police Department is a great place to work and serve the community.  I invite you to continue to review the pages of our website to learn more about our agency.  If you have any questions that are not directly answered by our website information please feel free to contact me at the telephone number listed on this page.
