WSSC Water Reopens Customer Service One-Stop Shop on Monday, September 14, by Appointment Only

Advisors Here to Help Customers with Billing and Affordability Questions

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WSSC Water today announced the reopening of its Customer Service One-Stop Shop for in-person services on Monday, September 14 by appointment only. Customer Service advisors will be available to answer billing-related questions and help financially struggling customers establish convenient payment plans and identify affordability programs that best meet their needs. Appointments will be available weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. by calling WSSC Water Customer Service at 301-206-4001.

Appointment-only services include:

  • Billing inquiries – bill disputes, balance requests, creating customized pay plans and partial payments, refund hearing requests and any other individual account matters.
  • Assistance programs – Bay Restoration Fee credit application and information on how to apply for all other programs. Visit wsscwater.com/assistance for available assistance programs.

Also opening Monday is WSSC Water’s Cashier Window. Customers wishing to make bill payments in person may do so at the Cashier Window or Drive-Thru Window, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. No appointments necessary for in-person payments. Only checks or cash will be accepted. Credit card payments are only accepted online or via phone.

The One-Stop Shop and Cashier Window are both located at WSSC Water’s headquarters building at 14501 Sweitzer Lane in Laurel.

To help keep customers and employees safe, everyone entering the WSSC Water building must wear a face mask and follow social distancing guidelines set by the State of Maryland and Prince George’s County. Employees will be wearing personal protective equipment and plexiglass partitions have been installed at the counters for additional protection.
