Laurel, Md. – October 15, 2024 – WSSC Water Commissioners are holding their monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 16, beginning at 10 a.m. The meeting, held in person at the WSSC Water building in Laurel, is open to the public and available via livestream from WSSC Water’s website.
This month's agenda includes the presentation of the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) Peak Performance Awards. NACWA presents these awards to water resource recovery facilities that demonstrate extraordinary success in consistently complying with federal permit limits and Clean Water Act standards.
Also on the agenda are scheduled votes on nearly $20 million in contracts. The list of all contracts and meeting presentations is on WSSC Water’s website.
The meeting includes a call-in option to ensure interested stakeholders not in attendance can provide input. Those watching virtually and wishing to speak should call in at the beginning of the comments section, which begins shortly after 10 a.m. Callers will be admitted from the “lobby” when public comments start. Members of the public will have three minutes for oral comments. Written comments of any length are always welcome.
