Laurel, Md. – March 3, 2022 – WSSC Water today announced the reopening of its Customer Service One-Stop Shop for in-person services on Monday, March 7. Customer Service Advisors will be available to answer billing-related questions and help financially struggling customers establish convenient payment plans and identify affordability programs that best meet their needs. The One-Stop Shop is open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Services include:

  • Billing inquiries – bill disputes, balance requests, creating customized payment plans and partial payments, refund hearing requests and other individual account matters.
  • Assistance programs – Bay Restoration Fee credit application and information on how to apply for other assistance programs.   • Cashier Window – Open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Only checks or cash are accepted. Credit card payments are only accepted online or via phone.

Additionally, Permit Services and Plan Review Services will reopen for customers to apply for plumbing, gasfitting and service connection permits and review new project submissions. Because permit and plan review can all be done online, this office will open with limited staff. To submit a permit or learn more about connecting to WSSC Water’s system, customers are strongly encouraged to visit our Permit Services page.

Permit Services office hours:

  • Mon, Tue, Thurs and Fri, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed Noon-1 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, 7 a.m. to Noon.

Plan Review Services office hours:

  • Mon, Tue, Thurs and Fri, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (closed Noon-1 p.m.),
  • Wednesday, 7:30 a.m. to Noon.

The One-Stop Shop, Permit Services and Cashier Window are all located on the lobby level of WSSC Water’s headquarters building at 14501 Sweitzer Lane in Laurel.

In accordance with Montgomery and Prince George’s counties, mask requirements have been lifted. Unvaccinated customers are strongly encouraged to wear a mask while indoors and doing in-person business with WSSC Water.
