The 526 artists who submitted entries in the contest are in grades two through five. The 12 winning students will be honored in a ceremony with a presentation by WSSC General Manager and CEO Jerry N. Johnson at 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, at WSSC’s headquarters, 14501 Sweitzer Lane, Laurel.
“At a young age, these students have realized the importance of using our water wisely,” said Johnson. “Clean water is vital to the future of our region and our nation. We hope the public takes to heart the protecting our water theme demonstrated by these young artists.”
