Board Responsibilities
The Board administers the WSSC Water Code of Ethics (Code), issues advisory opinions, responds to requests for waivers of Code prohibitions, acts on Code-related complaints and periodically reviews the adequacy of the Code.

An independent Board of Ethics (Board) assists WSSC Water in maintaining superior professional and ethical conduct as well as public confidence in the integrity of the agency. The Board is comprised of three regular members and one alternate member. Each member is appointed by the WSSC Water Commissioners to a three-year term.
The Board administers the WSSC Water Code of Ethics (Code), issues advisory opinions, responds to requests for waivers of Code prohibitions, acts on Code-related complaints and periodically reviews the adequacy of the Code. The Board generally meets from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at the WSSC Water Headquarters building located at 14501 Sweitzer Lane, Laurel, Maryland 20707. Each Board member receives a $200 stipend for each regular monthly meeting attended.
