Eligibility:

All children of WSSC Water employees and retirees contributing by the minimum amount and required criteria for eligibility to the fund, who are in good standing at any accredited college/university, community college, or technical vocational institution.

NOTE: Scholarships can only be used at accredited colleges/universities, two-year community colleges, or technical vocational institutions.

Criteria:

Entries will be judged on the following:

  1. Official Transcript                   
  2. Essay
  3. Current Letters of recommendation dated within one year
  4. School Activities                     
  5. Extra Curricular Activities           

How to Apply

The student must fill out an official Robert G. Berger scholarship application. Applications are available from any Scholarship Board member as well.  

Application Completion

Included is an application completion checklist for (1) graduating high school students, and (2) college and vocational students. Please review these requirements carefully to determine what information must be completed and included with your application.  It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the application is complete and all supporting documentation is included in the package. If the application is incomplete or any required attachments are missing, the application will be deemed incomplete and will not be considered.

We require all applicants to submit typed applications. Applications should be free of spelling and grammatical errors.

All applications must be received by 3:00 p.m. on April 30, 2025, to be considered.  There will be no exceptions.
