The popular program continues with expanded eligibility income criteria to include federal workers impacted by recent government actions.

The popular temporary water bill assistance program helps eligible customers with a delinquent balance as of October 1, 2025, by offering forgiveness of a portion of their balance and waiving 100% of late payment charges and turn-on fees.
Eligible residential customers whose household income is below 150% of the Fiscal Year 2025 Area Median Income and those who were impacted by the recent federal government shutdown* may receive the following benefits beginning December 1:
Residential customers above 150% of the area median income are eligible for the 100% waiver of late payment charges and turn-on fees if the delinquent balance is paid in full or a 50% payment is made and the balance paid within six months. Commercial and multi-unit residential accounts with master meters also qualify to have 100% of late payment charges and turn-on fees waived.
