| Plumbing and Gasfitting Plans |
Plumbing and Fuel Gas plans are required for all commercial construction. The code official shall have the authority to waive submittal requirements. Typically commercial work with 10 or less permit items, including gas appliances, may be waived.
Plans that will not be waived include :
- Plans that require FOG (fats, oils, and grease abatement)
- Fuel gas plans that have more than 3 appliances on the entire gas system and/or any of the gas appliances are over 200,000 Btu input.
Submittal Requirements ( to Plumbing Plan Review office):
Two sets including floor plans to scale, schematics for fuel gas, waste and vent and water piping, riser diagrams, and where appropriate, details such as meter room layout, equipment schedules, backflow prevention device details, elevations and site plans, material and fixture specifications, fixture clearances etc. Submittals must also include a completed checklist as
well as a permit application signed by a registered WSSC Master Plumber/ Gas Fitter. (For more information about the Permitting process, please click here).

Site-Utility Plan Review (On-Sites) |
Design review is required for permit issuance and inspection administration for large site utility water and/or sewer systems. Where site water lines are 4" in diameter and larger and sewer lines that are 6" in diameter and larger, plans shall be submitted as a Site Utility Plan.
Submittal Requirements (to Permit Services):
Six sets of plans must be submitted with a completed
checklist , a Hydraulic Information Sheet [HIS] (where applicable), and payment for review fees.

Minor Site-Utility Plan Review (Waived On-Sites) |
Design review is required for permit issuance and inspection administration is also required for less complex site-utility water and/or sewer systems. Where pipe diameters qualify per Site-Utility guidelines but where shorter runs are proposed, a Minor Site-Utility plan may be submitted.
Submittal Requirements (to Permit Services) :
Six sets of plans must be submitted with a completed
checklist , a Hydraulic Information Sheet [HIS]
(where applicable), and a check for review fees.
