LAUREL, MD (October 27, 2009): Learn about composting and keeping our waterways clean during tours of the WSSC’s Western Branch Wastewater Treatment Facility and the Prince George’s County Composting Facility. These rare tours give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the two “cleaning and greening” facilities along the Western Branch, a tributary of the Patuxent River.
The tours are part of “America Recycles Day.” This is your chance to learn about composting, recycling, wastewater treatment and environmental careers.
