Biosolids management is coordinated and managed, including day to day coordination with DC Water’s Blue Plains Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Kevin Selock

Kevin Selock

Parkway Group Leader

The Parkway Group produces a quality effluent at the Parkway Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) which meets or exceeds all discharge standards, beneficially utilizes the biosolids; and operates the pumping stations to collect and transport wastewater without overflows.

Robert Trimble

Robert Trimble

Patuxent Group Leader

The Patuxent Water Filtration Plant (WFP) delivers drinking water to the distribution system at an approximate average rate of 57.1 million gallons per day. Responsibilities include operation of: Patuxent WFP, Rocky Gorge Pumping Station, Pretreatment Facility, Sludge/Reclaim Pumping Station, Patuxent Finished Water Pumping Station, and T. Howard Duckett Dam.

Dale Belschner

Dale Belschner

Piscataway Group Leader

The Piscataway Group produces a quality effluent at the Piscataway Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) which meets all discharge standards, beneficially utilizes the biosolids generated in our processes, and operates the pumping stations to collect and transport wastewater without overflows.

Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson

Potomac Group Leader

The Potomac Water Filtration Plant is the larger of the Commission's two water treatment plants. The Potomac Plant delivers water to the distribution system at approximately 120 million gallons of water per day (MGD) but is capable of treating more than 280 MGD.  Responsibilities include: Operation and maintenance of the Potomac WFP including major Solids Handling Facilities, Main and High Zone Pumping Stations, two Intermediate Pumping Stations and one of the largest UV disinfection systems in the country.
