How To Do Business With WSSC
The Procurement Office
The Procurement Office of WSSC is responsible for negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions for goods and services for the WSSC.
The Purchasing function is centralized for all purchases that exceed $4,999.99.
- For procurements from $5000 to $25,000 WSSC may solicit
from at least three suppliers to satisfy the competitive bidding requirement.
- Procurements $25,000 or above are considered to be formal
solicitations and must be advertised using a competitively sealed
bidding process.
The primary objectives of the Procurement Office are as follows:
- Provide supplies, materials, equipment, construction and
professional services to all WSSC teams in a timely manner.
- To generate broad participation and competition among
potential suppliers and contractors.
- To ensure good quality products and services at competitive
prices.
- To ensure equal opportunity to all qualified suppliers and contractors wishing to compete for WSSC contracts.
Our goal is to establish positive business relationships with suppliers
and work as partners to satisfy WSSC’s needs.
