WSSC Extends Interim Minority Business Enterprise Program

MISSION STATEMENT

The SLMBE Office is dedicated to creating and inclusive purchasing environment while building sustainable relationships; expanding opportunities; and cultivating growth of small, local and minority business enterprises which adds value to the Commission and community we serve.


OUR STRATEGY:

Fiscally, to support the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission in achieving its Small, Local and Minority Business Enterprise (SLMBE) objectives by offering trusted and convenient services to both our internal and external stakeholders through customized solutions that center on Supplier Advocacy, Compliance, Extensive Outreach, and Supplier Development.


SMALL, LOCAL BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (SLBE) PROGRAM

This Program is intended to provide and additional race-and gender-neutral tool for the Commission to use in its efforts to ensure that all segments of its local business community have a reasonable and significant opportunity to participate in WSSC contracting opportunities. The Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) Program furthers the WSSC’s objective of fostering broad-based competition with in the vendor community. The SLBE Program encourages economic growth by offering benefits to small firms headquartered in Montgomery County and Prince George's County.

To participate in the SLBE Program, your principal place of business or a significant employee presence must be located in Montgomery or Prince George's County Maryland.

Once you have completed the SLBE form as instructed, print a copy of the form and mail it to: WSSC Attention: SLMBE Office, 8th Floor, 14501 Sweitzer Lane, Laurel, MD 20707. Once your application is approved, you will be placed on our approved registered list for the SLBE Program. Your firm will then be notified of upcoming contracts under this program.
